tropic thunder

Talk about statement pants - these are some statement pants. I approached it gingerly, because you can't exactly clash this print with another. I chose a simple cotton tank that I dug up from the bottom of my drawers to help the pants stand out on its own (like it needed any help). And who would've thought navy MJ bag and black would go so well together? Whoever said "black and blue, shame on you" was sorely wrong.

New York, it seems like we're heading back to the heat, a whopping 92 degrees today, which means shorts, dresses, skirts. No pants.

Not the most attractive jumping picture of me, but then again, are there any attractive jumping pictures? Woop - there goes that neon necklace again, which was recently featured on Socialyte.Co among some pretty great company like the Brooklyn Blonde and On the Racks. I threw on a tailored, black blazer for an event at the Culinary Loft in Soho where McDonald's (yes, McDonald's) hosted an exquisite dinner inspired by the new berry flavors in their new summer menu. I was among 25 fashion and lifestyle bloggers - such as Wendy from Nitrolicious - to taste unique flavors in three courses curated by an Iron Chef and I must say, he did not disappoint. The dessert as always, was my favorite, warm, moist chocolate molten cake with raspberry glaze and salted homemade whipped cream. Being the newly 21 year old that I am, I also had a refreshing cocktail of blueberry vodka, raspberry juice and some other good stuff - oh, the good life.

titled entitled

It's still not that warm in New York, so I've been involuntarily wearing sweaters and blazers to get me by. A jacket that I'm sure to be wearing a lot is this tweed blazer that I thrifted on Saturday. It's such a great lady-like piece, makes me feel all fancy and entitled, which are two traits that I'm not comfortable with - so to dress it down, I threw in a T-shirt (with a great open back), some distressed boyfriend-esque jeans and a pair of those rose gold Zara heels that you've all probably seen everywhere. It's got these great rose gold straps and 3 inch heels that make them so damn walkable - all hail Zara, they can seriously do no wrong!

Love ya'll!

FREDDY

Photos always by Landon

Ann Taylor striped sweater  |  c/o David Kahn Nikki snakeskin jeans  |  thrifted loafers

Wore snakeskin jeans and a striped sweater, unknowingly coming out looking like Freddy Krueger. This outfit was kind of perfect for a full day of work, the loafers give me just the right amount of height but still manages to give the comfort that I need to survive until 10 at night, the printed jeans - which are all the rage right now - add a faux texture to the outfit and the striped sweater? It's a striped sweater! How much more classic can you get?

I'm really looking forward to real New York spring weather - I just can't wait to wear shorts, skirts, dresses in sweet, flimsy fabrics.
