a session in style

Choies blazer  |  Reformation dress  |  Kate Spade crossbody (similar)  |  Zara shoes  |  Ivory + Mason sunglasses

This blazer, I can't get over it. The simple stripes can literally go with everything in my wardrobe. I dressed down a pretty short slip with the blazer and it's instantly everything-appropriate.

So stoked to tell you guys that J.Crew and I are giving one of you the chance to win a J.Crew gift card! It's actually amazing timing since you're also invited to J.Crew's Style Sessions at their Soho location this Thursday!

You can head over there, get a few tips from their style experts and keep in mind what you'd like to buy with your gift card because the winner will be receiving a $200 gift card to shop your heart out at J.Crew - remember to use #jcrewstylesessions when you're there on Thursday so we can see all your #selfies.

heatwave

H&M scalloped chiffon tank  |  Urban Outfitters silk shorts  |  H&M metallic sandals

If you've been in New York this past week - you'd know that the sweltering heat these past two days have been unbearable. It was quite a dilemma waking up in the morning and deciding what to wear, when I just didn't wanna wear anything. I chose the thinnest pairs of shorts I could find and easy sandals. Heels are not favorable because I'll end up sweating more, and that my friends, is not attractive. I threw my hair up into a messy bun and there you go, my tutorial on what to wear on a 90+ degree day in New York City.

Here are a few snapshots of the Jimmy Choo 24:7 Stylemakers event a few weeks ago. Check out how much of a difference those 5 inch killer heels made. I still love those Jimmy Choo motorcycle boots though. They're absolutely perfect. Ahem, I'm a 38/39 if anyone just won the lotto.

Not the most attractive jumping picture of me, but then again, are there any attractive jumping pictures? Woop - there goes that neon necklace again, which was recently featured on Socialyte.Co among some pretty great company like the Brooklyn Blonde and On the Racks. I threw on a tailored, black blazer for an event at the Culinary Loft in Soho where McDonald's (yes, McDonald's) hosted an exquisite dinner inspired by the new berry flavors in their new summer menu. I was among 25 fashion and lifestyle bloggers - such as Wendy from Nitrolicious - to taste unique flavors in three courses curated by an Iron Chef and I must say, he did not disappoint. The dessert as always, was my favorite, warm, moist chocolate molten cake with raspberry glaze and salted homemade whipped cream. Being the newly 21 year old that I am, I also had a refreshing cocktail of blueberry vodka, raspberry juice and some other good stuff - oh, the good life.
