ruffle my feathers

Photos by Ashley Jahncke

Ashley's always been and always will be one of my favorite photographers - and I'm beyond lucky to be able to work with her on both a personal and professional level. She makes you feel insanely comfortable in front of the camera and off. It doesn't hurt that she's one of the sweetest people too.

So we're at the tail-end of fashion week - but don't fret! Working on more videos for y'all when it's not hellishly cold outside.

into the woods we go

So I didn't make it to California on account of a really unfortunate situation that was poorly handled by Virgin America. Delays on delays on delays and just incompetency all around.

Here's another collab with my favorite person. I wouldn't even call this another collaboration with Zach - he's been my friend since high school and any project with him is mostly fun for me. A few weeks ago, we ventured out to Port Washington and into the woods we went. He made me trek on leaves (and poison ivy look-a-likes) and step over God-knows-what in the middle of the stream. But hey, the photos came out incredible as always and I'd be down to do more.

This Addison romper is functional and breathable and fits me like a glove. I'll need this in every pattern / every color please.

nyfw | clover canyon fall '14

Clover Canyon's Fall '14 presentation was nothing short of a wonderland inspired by the beautiful rolling green hills of Ireland. The intricate layering is what really got me. Sheer delicate pieces over florals, plaids and stripes. There were so many favorites that I just couldn't stop snapping away. I mean those tailored dark plaid pants, the lace trimmed...well everything and the very lounge-y pieces that are so reminiscent of comfortable, luxury pajamas that I'd wear all day long. Clover Canyon's play with lengths also has me thinking that I need to experiment more with the pieces that I actually own in my wardrobe.

adore me

If you haven't already heard of AdoreMe from the numerous bloggers that you follow, it's a lingerie company in New York with ridiculously reasonable prices and a variety of styles and silhouettes for every body type. And you guys already should know one of my number one rules of life: when in doubt, wear grey. So when it came time to picking out a nice set of lingerie, the Louisa set from AdoreMe was obviously no exception to that rule.

Being comfortable in your own skin really comes with age and time - and a good set of lingerie doesn't hurt either. Because let's be honest, how rad do you feel when you're wearing a matching set underneath it all? So I'm partnering up with AdoreMe to give you a chance to win your favorite set from the site - and hey, if you're not into lingerie - they have more sleepwear styles that are beyond comfortable

1. Follow @adoremeofficial and @kristengracelam on Instagram
2. Leave a comment below - with your name, email and a link to your favorite AdoreMe set.
3. One winner will be selected randomly to win their favorite on Sunday February 2nd, 2013 and they'll be announced in a blog post on Sunday.

tancamera 35mm

Shot and styled by TanCamera

There's something humbling about being photographed by someone of such genuine talent. When I met Kimi of Tan Camera in real life, her personality was infectious and being around her was so easy, you'd think I'd known her for a while. You're gonna see her, her fiery hair and her new pup, Agnes around a lot more. But if you're really looking to get to know her, she's got a blog too, and she's got the most insane closet and personal style.

BELGIAN FRIES, GOOD COMPANY AND A PHOTOGRAPHER FRIEND.

(Gap striped knit sweater, random white chiffon shirt, Gap red corduroys, H&M necklace, Forever 21 bracelets, sterling silver bangle from Mexico, faux leather zipper bag -story here!, Senso shoes)

My sister left yesterday to study abroad for the spring semester, and the truth is, this striped sweater is hers, so once she sees this, she'll be giving me a piece of her mind, but y'know what? The girl is 1000 miles away so what can she do? But if you see this, I do miss you!

I had lunch with two of my friends that I've known since middle and high school, and we had a great time catching up, eating paninis and belgian fries.

One of them took these amazing photos for me, he has a Tumblr and a Flickr and a Vimeo, everything that an aspiring photographer/film major needs to succeed in life! They're a far better job than anything I could do. And since I don't have work for a couple days, I can't rely on Landon to photograph me!

Please leave a comment below, any kind of feedback is always great to hear!
