new in | senso from coggles

I've been in love with the Australian shoe brand, Senso for quite some time now - obsessively so, in fact. If you haven't heard of them, better late than never! Coggles sent over the coolest Senso leather booties with rose gold zipper hardware and basically, they're everything that I could ever want in a pair of shoes.

I'm not a photographer, though I take Landon's photos all the time. Because you know what? Just because you paid money for a fancy DSLR, it doesn't make you a professional photographer. Money doesn't buy you talent or skill. I met Angel through friends and had the pleasure of working with him on a quick shoot after work. Here are the results and boy, am I happy with them - the light, the movement (which he totally had to give me his expert direction on) - it's for sure one of my favorite shoots to date!

An all black look isn't complete without a little bit of texture with this fishnet business that I thrifted with the sunflower top. Also bringing back the nameplate from middle school y'all. 

If you're like me, then Black Friday and sample sales probably give you intense anxiety. I mean shopping is supposed to be stress-relieving and an altogether enjoyable time. Despite my serious-ish face in this post, this year has really been one of the best birthdays I've had - but then again, that's what everyone says every year when their birthday comes around. Yes, this year - my birthday suit is a little more scandalous with the cut-out crop top but the tailored floral blazer pulls it all together, doesn't it? This Waldrip blazer might just be a new favorite, yep.

I jumped the gun a little bit with summer, there's something inherently July 4th about the American flag  that makes it a little nuts to wear it any other time. I say screw the rules - wear white after Labor Day. Wear the same shirt twice (with a different outfit, of course). Wear gold and silver together. Heck, wear that flag during a snowstorm if you want to. Wear whatever gives you confidence.

THE WINDY CITY

I've been neglecting you guys because honestly, I haven't been at work and no one's been taking pictures for me. Today was a horridly windy day, especially around the Flatiron district, these pictures aren't the greatest but please forgive me, I promise the next one will be the best one yet.

I'm obsessed with this scalloped bag, I got it yesterday and I can tell that it's gonna be one of my favorites. How can you not love scalloped details on....absolutely everything??

I had to bundle up for my first day of classes, I can tell this is gonna one long semester. Wish me luck!
