new in | senso from coggles

I've been in love with the Australian shoe brand, Senso for quite some time now - obsessively so, in fact. If you haven't heard of them, better late than never! Coggles sent over the coolest Senso leather booties with rose gold zipper hardware and basically, they're everything that I could ever want in a pair of shoes.

soundtrack 2 my life

These mom jeans aren't the most attractive of the bunch. Especially for a little shortie like me. But with just a little bit of height from these new Senso shoes, I think I can pull it off. I paired these highwaisted jeans with a crop top and a varsity jacket (as always). Obviously, I was feeling a little street, so these Urbanears were a perfect addition to the outfit, giving the outfit a bit of a nonchalant, hiphop vibe that it desperately needed.

friends over flus

Despite my persistent cold, this weekend I had a great lunch with Steph, Matt and Amy at Nook in Hell's Kitchen. Sure, it was freezing. Never mind that it was a literal hole in the wall, but their french toast (with strawberry sauce) was out of this world and it was great to catch up with new and old friends while looking like a coat rack that everyone just piled their clothes on.

a test run

I call this a test trial for my Zara coat, wear it a few times with a few different outfits and see how it plays out, because listen - I can't really afford a $170 coat that I'll only wear for a few months. But then again, I couldn't pass it up when I put it on. I love its drop shouldered silhouette that subdues my broad shoulders. I love the quilted faux leather sleeves - with adjustable zippers in case my wrists decide to get fat. I love the whole wrapped-in-a-blanket feel to this jacket. Let's face it, ya'll. I'm not returning this, am I?

BIRTHDAY SUIT

H&M floral shirt  |  UO ruffle skirt (similar here)  |  Senso shoes  |  H&M necklace (similar concept here!)

My birthday suit consisted of a girlier ruffled skirt under a floral silk shirt and my instant tough chic Senso shoes. Paulina gave me this awesome Flintstone-glam necklace and I've been wearing it the past couple days to work, to bed, to school. Yeah, I'm gonna rock Flintstone-glam until it's trendy - pun intended.

By the way, it's been long overdue, but check out my Wiseling feature - some tips and tricks to intense vintage shopping. Head on over here and tell me what you think!

I'm reaaaaaaal excited to tell ya'll about what's coming up next!

CELEBRATORY BALLOON RED PANTS!

Photos by the incredible, edible Landon

Gap leather jacket (similar here) | Zara shirt | American Apparel red zip jeans | Senso shoes | Thrifted gold choker | c/o Glam Rock rose gold watch (buy here)

You're also looking at a new digital media assistant! I am officially a working girl, and I'm completely honored and humbled to be joining the Bollare team. They've been so nice and so welcoming, I couldn't ask for more!

So to celebrate my new job, I've got some extremely loud pants. I'm obsessed with them though! I paired it with this Zara shirt that's pretending to be a damn abstract painting, but it's oh so pretty.

And for those who follow me on Instagram (@kristenglam), you'd know that I've been wearing this rose gold watch from Glam Rock Watches almost every single day. You're probably sick of it. Can you blame me though?

AZTEC SHORTS, SHADES OF GREEN AND CRAZY STARES.

(Ann Taylor sleeveless button down, H&M black sweater, thrifted waterfall cardigan, thrifted army green blazer, UO aztec knit shorts, Senso shoes, thrifted faux snakeskin gold edged clutch, YSL ring, F21 ombre earrings)

Today was all about me braving the cold without a jacket, but with layers on layers on layers, 4 to be exact. I did however, get some crazy stares on the train when people realized that I was only wearing sheer tights. The things that I do for fashion!

And it's day two of my withdrawal from arm candy! I did squeeze in some early morning shopping for accessories though, you shall see them soon.

Tata for now!

Photos taken by Landon, as always.
