life updates with classpass

WARNING: Lots of reading here - but how else would I update you guys? :)

I'm very much used to being a complete sloth - wanted to give you guys some exciting news: I'm partnering with ClassPass and Nike to run the San Francisco Half Marathon this October!! 

And if you haven't gotten the hint from my junk food Snapchats and Instagrams of food spreads - I'm not the most athletic person you'll find - ever. I have the biggest sweet tooth and snacking is my vice. So this is the biggest deal - and a huge challenge to get through. 

I've been with ClassPass for over 6 months now, my regimen really includes at least 3-4 classes at my favorite studios around my neighborhood. So when ClassPass reached out for this amazing opportunity, I was beyond ecstatic - but to be honest, a little scared. ClassPass - if you guys don't know about it, is a membership program for about $125 a month which is an incredible deal - normal studios charge over $150/month!

The great thing about it is the wide range of studios that you have access to each cycle. You've got your yoga, barre, boxing, running, dance - everything you could possibly need. It's really the variety of the classes available that really sold me. 

And if you're doing this half-marathon too - whether it's in Denver, New York, California - you can sign up for ClassPass races exactly like when you're booking a class if you're a member.

Updates, updates - it's been one official week since the 12-week training program started and so far, so good. When I say that, I mean I'm surviving. I haven't died or injured myself. Thanks to my West Coast trainer, Blue Benadum (who seriously sounds like the chillllllest person in the world) - and the recommended classes that ClassPass sends through every week, Kristen Lam is well on her way to actually attempting this half-marathon.

Platinum jewelry is one of the best investments, because it never goes out of style. Last night I had the amazing opportunity to visit Barney's after dark - with Refinery29 and Platinum Jewelry to show off one of my favorite trends for jewelry, style and life - minimalism.

I chose a few stacking rings, some a little bit more dramatic than the others. I also put on a thin chain to go with the whole minimal look - less is more, I always say.

go glossier

Finally got to try Glossier after seeing so much buzz. It's definitely a social media favorite with all of the cute packaging and the quirky stickers that come with it (major brownie points, Glossier).

So far, I've tried the Mega Green Galaxy Mask, and the Glossier Phase 1 Set - and will probably be doing a little review of them in a beauty video! I know a lot of you have been asking me about my skincare routine (and trust me, it's nothing exciting...)

A week back in New York since Paris and I'm already aching for that beautiful city. Does Instagram  life get any better than that? No. No it doesn't. 

Well this comes close - I partnered with H&M to show y'all another incredible Conscious collection - this time with this gorgeous too-long-but-don't-care trench coat and sequin dress that I haven't decided whether it was appropriate for a wedding. 

Always keep it casual with my favorite suede ankle boots and a semi-put-together French braid - but I'd definitely rock this with some Chucks and a cute lil' backpack. 

Any way you spin it, they're both wardrobe must-haves - so you guys better set the date. This collection will be in select stores and online on April 16th!

I wore this outfit just a week too early - with snow still on the ground and cold winds still in the air. But it only seemed fitting that on the warmest day of the year so far, this outfit goes up on the blog today.

If you guys don't know already, I'm 100% Chinese. And no, I don't speak a lick of it. But the Lunar New Year holiday and the time that I spend with my family has and always will be close to my heart. So this year, I've partnered up with Westfield Garden State Plaza to bring you a little closer to Lunar New Year - whether or not you celebrate it. Because let's be honest with ourselves - red envelopes filled with money and sweet treats are a universal language.

I'm not one for festive outfits, and if I'm going to be spending Lunar New Year with my family, I'm opting for comfortable classics over everything. I paired a sporty tee with a pair of black flared jeans (and guys - flares are back with a vengeance! Trust me!) and a printed coat. 

And if you're free on the last day of February - come swing by the LNY party at Westfield Garden State Plaza for some good ol' Lunar New Year fun. I'm talking food, performances, red envelopes - I mean Westfield is pulling out all the stops this year.
